Carlos y Gaby have made a strange album to listen to, it doesn't sound like it's been created, more discovered. It strikes me as a series of soundtrack sketches for movies that never made it. Obscurred field recordings creep in and out, beautifully strung out synths wooze and weave between intermittent (yet insistent) beats.
Sometimes you're not sure where you're being taken and yet it's utterly compelling.
Headphone music at it's best.

Plug in...

Harmonic 313 released 'EP1' on Warp this week and it's pretty damn nice with some splendid use of Speak & Spell style samples to set the tone of music made by bleepy toys.
The packaging hints at a puzzle you can solve on his fantastic website in order to download an unreleased track. You can grab it here too....

Anticon welcome in the new year with a surprise new signing....
Son Lux drops his album 'At war with walls & mazes' on 26th February and it's set to be a bit special. A one man classically trained band of disintegration and dusk...
The albums opening song hints at half asleep songs of lucid dreams... lost voices, clattering drums and moments of clarity...

have a listen...

check his myspace too for loads more niceness..
